Mumbai: Chennai Super Kings will bat against Rajasthan Royals in the 12th match of the IPL. After winning the toss at Wankhede in Mumbai, Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson opted to bowl first. Both teams are aiming for their second consecutive victory. Rajasthan and Chennai retained the same XI they had played in the last match.
Both teams completed two rounds and won one each. CSK and RR are also the teams that have made a strong comeback after losing the first game. Under Sanju, Rajasthan lost their maiden match against Punjab Kings. Sanju became a hero with his century, but Rajasthan lost on the last ball. But in the second match against Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan came out on top from the verge of defeat.
CSK, on the other hand, lost their first match to Delhi Capitals. DC won the match unilaterally. In the run chase, Rishabh’s team swept Dhoni’s side aside. But in the second round, CSK made a strong comeback. They put on a performance reminiscent of CSK in their heyday, beating Punjab by a huge margin throughout the match.
By statistics, CSK has a clear advantage over Rajasthan. CSK has won 14 of its 23 matches. Rajasthan also won nine matches. But Rajasthan won the last two encounters in the UAE last season.
